Lovely products. Third purchase of wax from this smashing company. Also have a tin of the hard wax. Followed the video of how to use each wax and our old pine table top looks great. Highly recommended.
Happy with the results, have used a softer beeswax which has been easier to apply with my Annie Sloan wax brush which is great to get into detail that you can’t with the wire wool or cloth. My mahogany drawers are much improved with the antique gold would recommend
Lovely stuff to use. Realised after watching the very helpful video that the underlying finish needs redoing so sent off for the hard wax oil. Now I’ve got the right stuff I’m looking forward to having a go with it to renovate my sideboard top

Sometimes commenting on a product is easy, what is there to say, Gilboys waxes are the finest that you can buy. This is no different. Total perfection, as usual. These are the only waxes that get anywhere near my furniture. They make finishing even more of a pleasure.

I have been involved in woodwork for a large part of my working life and still am even though I have been retire for some years. I have tried all sorts of finishes from home recipes of gurus to chemical brews most of which serve some sort of purpose .
None of them come near the results I have been able to achieve using Gilboys Hard Wa Oils and waxes. The only problem I have with them is they are in Pomgolia and I am in Australia . Freight rates are crippling . Cheers Rolf

I was delighted to see that Gilboys head office was close to where I live. I'd already seen several of the online videos and was impressed with the team's level of knowledge. So I popped down to their new premises and was met by an exceptionally helpful and friendly team. I was able to talk through the 3 different repair projects I had and was given wonderful advice on how to manage them. The kit that I bought is brilliant and exactly what I needed. Bought for on-going care and refurb of our white oak furniture, several years old now but going strong! We have not as yet used the product except for a small test, it works very well indeed so far. As described and shown on TV, just what we want. Thanks for the sun flowers, we don't have to buy any this year! Packaging an inspiration for others. The only downside of the deal was that the carrier tracking did not work at all, We were, fortunately, at home when delivered. Thoroughly recommend.

The wax oil worked very well and really brought the 150 year old pitch pine wood to life.
My only criticism would be that after each coat there were tiny little lumps (wax?) protruding from the dried surface and these had to be sanded off before the second coat and the final polishing coat

I used Gilboys hard wax oil and then wax polish, the results are fantastic
I plucked up the courage to refinish my G Plan teak veneer dining table after watching Simon's YouTube videos. I bought the hard wax oil and the rose gold polishing kit. I decided not to do any sanding because I didn't want to risk going through the veneer and I honestly didn't expect to get anywhere near the results I did. Ring marks and fading gone - shine and colour restored!
